A spy novel set in Cardiff during World War II relating how a young girl and her friends suffer the harrowing experiences of war and carry out their own research as they set out to track spies; for readers aged 9-12 years.

Nofel ddifyr am ysbiwyr wedi ei gosod yng Nghaerdydd yn ystod yr Ail Ryfel Byd yn adrodd hanes merch ifanc a'i ffrindiau yn dioddef profiadau erchyll rhyfel ac yn profi sawl antur amrywiol wrth fynd ar drywydd ysbiwyr; i ddarllenwyr 9-12 oed.
This is a well-paced and heart-warming story about life in Cardiff during the Second World War that girls, especially, will enjoy.

Myra and her family suffer all the deprivations of a war that seems to be going on forever, but they manage to stay strong and cheerful and play their various parts in the ‘war effort’. On her way to school one morning Myra sees a man behaving in a way that makes her suspect that he is a spy for the Nazis, and she and her friends set out to find evidence to prove that he is a traitor. Myra discovers that appearances can be deceptive, and treason can take more than one form.

This book was inspired by the story of a real Nazi spy in Cardiff. The author’s meticulous attention to the detail of the period builds a vivid picture of the valiant way people struggled to keep life as normal as possible during wartime.
