Stori ffantasi am dri phlentyn sy'n ymdrechu i arbed eu pobl a'u cartref rhag dinistr trwy ddefnyddio eu galluoedd goruwchnaturiol i orchfygu melltith a chyflawni tasgau. 15 llun du-a-gwyn.

A fantasy tale about three children who strive to save their people and home from destruction by using their supernatural gifts to overcome curses and accomplish feats. 15 black-and-white illustrations.
Though ostensibly a fantasy tale, The Power of Three deals cleverly with the obviously human problems of prejudice and self-identity. Three groups of ‘people’ are seeking to protect their way of life with little thought for the others’. Only a handful are willing to talk, which makes their problems impossible to resolve.

The story commences in an episodic fashion, introducing us to the characters and the seemingly alien world they inhabit. The author skilfully weaves these episodes together into a satisfying whole, showing her readers the profound repercussions of earlier events, without heavy-handed preaching. Her characters’ motivations and insecurities are convincing, particularly Gair’s, and young readers should enjoy the interplay between the children.

The story begins, and reaches its climax, with a very real threat of death; it pulls no punches, and the reader is rewarded with an exciting, amusing and sometimes shocking adventure.
