Nofel afaelgar sy'n plethu stori gyfoes am ymchwil gŵr ifanc am ryddid gyda chwedl rymus y Greal Sanctaidd; i ddarllenwyr yn eu harddegau.

A gripping novel which interweaves the modern tale of a young man's quest for freedom with the powerful myth of the Holy Grail; for teenage readers.
Cal’s uncle has offered him a job and a new home in Chepstow, which Cal accepts, knowing that it will take him away from his unhappy past with his mother who has drunk since he was six, leaving him to fend for himself and depending on him to look after her.

On the train journey to Chepstow, Cal gets off at the wrong station and finds himself at the castle of Corbenic, guest of the Fisher King. Here he witnesses a mysterious feast and is presented with a challenge which he rejects, to his ensuing regret. His journey from then on is his attempt to correct all his mistakes, both in the strange world of Corbenic and in his own reality in order to face the future.

Based on the Grail Legend, Corbenic is a sensitive and mature read. The mythical world of Arthurian legend and the world of reality sit side by side, and sometimes it is difficult to know what is real and what is not. This is the point, for Cal moves between the two, confronting his own problems before he can move on, leaving the pain of his past behind.

A thoughtful and poignant book, this is definitely worth a read.
