A book in the short and fast-paced series Quick Reads. A biography of one of Wales's worst murderers - Peter Moore, the man in black. This book also includes details about Lynnette White's murder, one of the best-known cases of misconduct of justice in Wales.

Llyfr yn y gyfres o gyfrolau byr a chyflym Stori Sydyn.
Yn l yr FBI, rhaid i rywun lofruddio pedwar neu fwy o bobl cyn ennill y fraint amheus o gael ei ddisgrifio fel llofrudd lluosog. Golyga hyn mai dim ond un llofrudd lluosog syn perthyn i Gymru, sef Peter Moore. Mae Moore yn ddihiryn mor esgymun fel ei fod e'n un o griw bychan ac elitaidd na chaiff fyw byth eto y tu allan i waliau carchar.

Dim ond yn gymharol ddiweddar y gwelsom y genre o lyfrau yn adrodd hanes llofruddion go iawn yn y Gymraeg. Braenarwyd y tir gan T. Llew Jones gyda Gwaed ar eu Dwylo. Cafwyd cyfraniadau sylweddol wedyn gan gyn-aelodau or heddlu fel John Hughes a Roy Davies. A nawr, dyma Dyfed Edwards yn troi o fyd llyfrau arswyd a chyffro i hanes llofruddiaethau go iawn.

Er mor llwyddiannus fur awdur yn y gorffennol, prin y ceir neb yn ei lyfrau ffuglennol sydd mor arswydus Peter Moore, perchennog sinemu o Fae Cinmel a lofruddiodd bedwar o ddynion ac a ymosododd ar ddwsinau o rai eraill. Cafodd y llysenw y dyn mewn du. Ond go brin fod ei ddillad mor dywyll i feddwl.

Os oes unrhyw beth syn fwy arswydus na llofruddiaeth, yna cael eich carcharu ar gam am lofruddiaeth na wnaethoch ei chyflawni yw hynny. A dyna beth ddigwyddodd i dri o ddynion o Gaerdydd, sef Steve Miller, Tony Paris ac Yusef Abdullahi.

Treuliodd y tri chwe blynedd dan glo am lofruddio Lynette White cyn cael eu rhyddhau yn dilyn gwrandawiad apl. Yna, yn 2003, plediodd dyn arall, sef Jeffrey Gafoor, yn euog o gyflawni'r llofruddiaeth. Erbyn hyn, cyhuddwyd dros ddwsin o blismyn o wyrdroi cwrs cyfiawnder.

Fel syn nodweddiadol or gyfres Stori Sydyn, mae arddull y gyfrol yn hynod syml a darllenadwy. Ac er gwaethaf natur arswydus y ddwy stori, llwyddodd yr awdur i gadwi emosiynau iddoi hun. Maer cyfan yn ffeithiol a diragfarn ac mae hynny, mi gredaf, yn ychwanegu at yr arswyd.

BRUTAL WELSH MURDERS UNVEILED

In a new gripping book by Dyfed Edwards, the story of mass murderer Peter Moore of Kinmel Bay and Lynette Whites real murderer, Jeffrey Gafoor, will be dramatically uncovered.

Peter Moore was a respected north Wales business man, but was also a violent murderer, who killed four men and attacked dozens of others in the area.

Lynette Whites murder case is considered one of the biggest miscarriages of justice in Britain, with the real killer, Jeffrey Gafoor, jailed in 2003.

In this book, Peter Moore, Y Gwaethaf or Gwaethaf (Peter Moore, The Worst of the Worst), Dyfed Edwards reveals the ins-and-outs of these horrific Welsh murder cases.

Dyfed Edwards said, I was working as the deputy editor of the North Wales Weekly News during the Peter Moore case. It was a deeply disturbing case which shocked the whole region. What we must remember is that terrible cases like these are rare, but what we must never forget is that innocent people suffered, and continue to suffer, because of this man. Likewise, the Lynette White case has resulted in great suffering. This case, of course, is one of the most notorious in British legal history and is still ongoing to this day.

Dyfed says, Peter Moore has been described as one of the most dangerous men to set foot in north Wales. Those few months in the mid-1990s, when he killed those four men, when he was caught and tried, grabbed headlines around Britain. His like had not been seen in the region before and, hopefully, will never be seen again.
