The microcosms of life are described in colourful details to symbolize all that intertwines with the characters’ emotional lives, for example in ‘Tinsel’: ‘Esme was mesmorised by texture, by colour, movement, storm and sunsets, falling fruit and opening flowers ...'

These are gently descriptive stories with a subtlety which gives each one a unique feel.
