The most comprehensive English-Welsh dictionary ever compiled including synonyms, illustrative quotations, idioms, specialist and technical terms etc. together with a concise morphology of the Welsh language. First published in 1995. An edition with amendments and additions.

Y geiriadur Saesneg-Cymraeg mwyaf cynhwysfawr erioed yn cynnwys cyfystyron, dyfyniadau eglurhaol, priod-ddulliau, termau arbenigol a thechnegol ac ati ynghyd â disgrifiad gramadegol cryno o'r iaith. Cyhoeddwyd gyntaf yn 1995. Argraffiad gyda diwygiadau ac ychwanegiadau.
The end of 2003 saw the issue of the fifth impression of this dictionary. The fact that the public should feel the need for yet another new impression, a mere eight years after the first publication, emphasizes once more the quality of the work, fondly referred to by Welsh speakers as ‘Geiriadur Bruce’, described by the editor of the University of Wales Press’s Welsh dictionary (Geiriadur Prifysgol Cymru) as one of the events of the century and by reviewers as ‘awesome in extent, scholarship and editorial competence’.

This fifth impression adds to the 1,800-odd pages of the main work a fourteen-page appendix of additions and emendations. The content of this appendix varies from correction of minor typographical errors which few readers would notice to the addition of a large number of new technical, jargonistic or colloquial words and phrases, such as zapper, snailmail, peacenik, proactive, laptop, jobsworth and makeover. The precision with which the corrections and additions are detailed in the appendix exemplifies yet again the excellence of the whole work.

"Heb os nac oni bai, dyma eiriadur o'r radd flaenaf. Ond pam fod y clawr mor sych a diddychymyg? Dylai'r argraffiad nesaf dorri'r rheol sy'n mynnu y dylai pob geiriadur gael clawr di-fflach. Dwi ddim yn sn am, e.e. gael tudalen flaen fel News Of The World neu'r Sun neu'r cylchgrawn Hello. Rhywbeth chwaethus, deniadol . . . Hynny yw, rhywbeth sy'n diffinio geiriau megis marchnata, delwedd yn y ffordd orau bosib. Ys dywed y Sais: Don't judge a book by its cover. Beth yw'r ffordd Gymraeg o ddweud hyn yn l y Geiriadur?"
