A fast-moving story of misadventure in which Artie, the unconventional hero, gets into all sorts of scrapes and takes a journey back in time. Suitable for readers aged 9+ years.

Stori o anturiaethau Artie, yr arwr anghonfensiynol sy'n ei gael ei hun mewn pob math o drybini wrth iddo deithio nôl mewn amser. Addas i ddarllenwyr 9+ oed.
If you met Artie you would say he had an attitude problem. But are some of his problems of his own making? Life at home isn’t easy – no dad, and mum having to give more attention to a younger sister.

Then comes what Artie thinks is a day from hell – everything that can go wrong does. But a meeting with a mysterious stranger gives him the chance to re-live the day and put things right. Does Artie make the right decisions? Well, it does take more than one attempt!

Paul Manship is writing what he knows about – life in a primary school in Newport. This world with its playtime dramas, bullies and friendships is evocatively brought to life. There are many boys like Artie, and hopefully this book will strike a chord with them. Hopefully, too, they will appreciate the message of the book: that we are responsible for our own behaviour and what we do has repercussions for other people. However perhaps some would feel this was all a bit ‘worthy’.

An enjoyable and readable book.
