Becca’s mother suggests that Becca might be able to do it since her grandfather – Bampa – was a player many years ago and could give her lessons. In the training sessions with Bampa, Becca - and the reader - learn about different ways of passing the ball. Girls who might secretly feel they would like to play rugby will enjoy Becca’s success on the field. The black-and-white illustrations give a fine sense of movement, as well as depicting all the characters in a lively manner. A good Readalong for 7 to 10 year olds.
